South Africa are fighting for World Cup qualification but were dealt a major blow as they dropped points in a goalless draw with Zimbabwe on Friday night that left them in second place in Group C with one game to play.
Bafana face Rwanda on Tuesday needing all three points, alongside a win for Nigeria over group leaders Benin, who lead South Africa by two points.
But they will have to make do without Orlando Pirates skipper Mbokazi, who was red-carded against the Warriors after letting frustration get the better of him in the latter stages of the tie.
Moloisane, who was in Hugo Broos' preliminary squad, has since linked up with the Bafana squad ahead of their mist-win clash.
"Thabo Moloisane joins Bafana Bafana in preparation for the match vs Rwanda on Tuesday," posted the player's management agency on social media.
