Sekhukhune United coach Kaitano Tembo excited by new Zimbabwe post

The former SuperSport United, Sekhukhune United and Richards Bay head coach is currently employed by Babina Noko as Head of first team football.

He has since teamed up with the Warriors as part of their technical team and was on the bench in recent World Cup qualifiers against Bafana Bafana and Lesotho.

Zimbabwe struggled in their World Cup qualifiers and ended at the bottom of Group C with five points after five draws and five losses.

German head coach Michael Nees has since been sacked, and Tembo has since emerged as a possible candidate to take the vacant post ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking after his recent involvement, Tembo said on FARPost: "It's always good to be in that environment. You always learn when you work at a different level as well.

"So for me it's important not to really cage myself if I may put it that way. You know, spread my wings and be able to do that. I also appreciate the club [Sekhukhune United] for giving me that opportunity to be able to do that."

On his links to the Zimbabwe post, Tembo added: "No comment. For that, I can't comment."
