The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder is in fine form for Wydad Athletic in Morocco's Botola Pro 1 league.
In his last match, Lorch scored a brace to help Wydad to a convincing 5-1 win over Asante Kotoko in their CAF Confederation Cup Second round qualifier to reach the group stages.
He has also netted two goals in just four league appearances.
He last played for Bafana in June 2022 during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying 2-1 defeat to Morocco.
Speaking to FARPost, Orebonye says he can see no reason for Lorch to be excluded from the Bafana team.
He said: "Lorch is doing great, I'm happy for him. I really wish he would continue like this. He not only shines on his own, but he's a player who gets the best out of you as a teammate. You'll be happy to play alongside him.
"I wouldn’t know why he isn't making the national team," added the Botswana international, "but he certainly deserves that chance."
Bafana are next in action against Zambia in an international friendly on November 14.
