Benjamin Sesko could miss important Man Utd games through injury

The 22-year-old, who has been a rising presence in United's attack, is reportedly facing a minor setback but will remain at Carrington over the November international break for assessment and recovery.

The incident occurred after Ruben Amorim had exhausted all substitutions, leaving United to finish the match with ten men.

Tottenham appeared poised to capitalise when Richarlison glanced a Wilson Odobert shot past United goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

However, the visitors were denied a late advantage as Matthijs de Ligt struck a dramatic last-gasp equaliser to secure a point for the Red Devils.

While initial fears suggested a more serious injury, sources close to the club indicate Sesko's condition is less severe than first thought.

"We have to check. He had something in his knee, let's see," said Amorim.

Nevertheless, Slovenia head coach Matjaz Kek has expressed a desire for the young forward to be examined by the national team's medical staff during the final international break of the year, underlining his importance to his country's plans.

"We also want the player to be examined by our medical service. Our doctor is an expert in this field," said Kek, as quoted by Epika.

"Of course I'm worried about the player, the only thing I'm interested in is his well-being, we're ready to do everything for that and we've never sent anyone onto the field if there was the slightest risk."
