The Yellow and Mauves showcased resilience to snatch a point during Saturday's Matchday 8 clash at Hohoe Sports Stadium. Hohoe United initially took the lead through Francis Odoom, but Abdul Salah's second-half strike ensured Medeama avoided defeat.
Speaking after the game, Tanko highlighted his side's determination and the numerous opportunities they created.
“Looking at our performance, I think the result is deserved. Normally, we should have won because we had most of the chances, but securing a point away from home is good,” he told Ghanasoccernet.
“Even our defenders, like Kamaradini [Mamudu], missed a couple of opportunities, but going 1-0 down away from home means you have to do more. I'm pleased the team responded well. Performances like this will be important as we move forward,” Tanko added.
The draw keeps Medeama second in the league standings with 18 points. Tanko's squad will now turn their attention to a crucial top-of-the-table encounter against leaders Aduana FC in Matchday 9.
